Old-Vine Soave from a Deeply-Rooted Family

The Gini family has been farming vines since 1600 in the volcanic hills around Monteforte, one of the anchor towns in the Soave Classico zone. Their 74 acres harbor some of Soave’s oldest vines, and much of that fruit goes into Gini’s excellent single-cru wines, but not all of it. Sandro Gini blends fruit from vines averaging 70 years of age to make this buoyant and floral Soave Classico. Its crisp apple and yellow pear flavors are underlined by notes of green almond, exuding freshness as well as an old-vine concentration that make this a versatile wine at the table as well as a spectacular value.
