Submissions Protocol - Wine & Spirits Magazine

We set out to encourage the greatest participation in our tastings for focused categories, a goal we have been working to achieve since our first tastings in 1981. And we want to continue to provide timely reporting on wines coming into the market. To accomplish these two goals, we have established a protocol that will allow us to continue to serve our readers’ interests as well as the industry’s needs.

Better Perspective

As the wine market has grown, our ability to meet these goals has been stretched. We will no longer attempt to cover the entire world within one year.

Focus Regions

By focusing on a narrow range of featured tastings, we strengthen the perspectives we can offer to our readers as well as the value of our recommendations for wineries and importers. There is no submission fee for wines within each issue’s focus categories.

New Releases

We charge a processing fee for New Releases that fall outside an issue’s focus categories. Our New Release tastings allow wineries and importers to submit wines as they arrive in the market. We encourage you to be selective in the New Releases you submit.

For information on submissions and shipping instructions, click on the appropriate form, below, one exclusively for Domestic wines, the other exclusively for Imported wines.

AS THE CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND THE PANDEMIC CONTINUE TO EVOLVE, WE MAY ALTER OUR TASTING PROCESSES TO PROTECT THE HEALTH OF OUR STAFF & OUR COMMUNITY.
