In researching the drinking traditions of the British Royal Navy, distiller Simon Ford learned that high-ranking officers traveled overseas with their own special batches of high-proof spirits in oak casks—many from Jerez. That research informed Officers’ Reserve Gin, the first offering in a new line of experimental bottlings. A blend of unaged Fords Gin and a high-proof version aged in Amontillado casks, it’s gentle and creamy, gin’s typical juniper notes rounded out with hazelnutty richness—perfect for fruity gin cocktails or a Tom Collins.
