Husband-and-wife team David and Jennifer Uygurs’ tiny Italian restaurant, Lucia, is located in the Bishop Arts district, a former warehouse area now turned one of the hippest dining and shopping areas in Dallas. Wine is about the only thing on the menu they don’t make in house, the compact list doubling as a crib sheet to Italy’s best bottles. There’s Massone Gavi for vegetable antipasti, Tenuta delle Terre Nere’s Etna Rosso Calderara Sottana for the Texas-sized veal chop or Oddero Moscato d’Asti for citrus semifreddo. As the place is always packed, your best bet to get in on short notice is to call the same day and see if there are any reservation cancellations.
