Farmshop

Larkspur’s Farmshop, a second outpost of the original Santa Monica location, fits Marin’s easy affluence like a glove. Thomas Keller protégé Jeff Cerciello runs the open kitchen, turning out highly refined farm-to-table cooking. The chicken is Jidori, the super-fresh free-range birds all the rage in LA, here crispy-skinned and topped with smoked almond salsa; the pizzas come out of the wood-fired oven blistered and gleaming, edible platters to show off the best offerings of the season. To drink, sommelier Amy Currens has put together a list that is catnip to wine geeks, with 20 wines available on tap or by the glass, plus an impressively well-priced list of bottles from both the old guard (Kistler, Heitz, Quintessa, Williams Selyem) and the new (Bedrock, Chanin, Peay and Soliste).
