Fahrenheit - Wine & Spirits Magazine

Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit keeps its neighborhood happy. Located in the hip Tremont district, Fahrenheit is where chefs come to eat on their Mondays off. Chef Rocco Whalen, former sous chef to Wolfgang Puck, knows how to toss a mean pizza pie. Thin, wheaty and impossibly crispy, it’s the perfect starter for a meal of hangar steak and frites. Here, bottles of wine are found on nearly every table. Why? The restaurant’s “30 Under 30” pledge guarantees you’ll find 30 great whites or reds priced under $30, such as the juicy 2000 Pirramimma Petit Verdot from Australia’s McLaren Vale. Not that the rest of the list is out of reach: the 2000 Bonaccorsi Chardonnay, from Spago Beverly Hills’ sommelier Mike Bonaccorsi, is a fruit-filled treasure at $46.
