A16 - Wine & Spirits Magazine

A16

Wine director and co-owner Shelley Lindgren’s wine program was pretty edgy when A16 opened in 2004, presenting largely unknown bottles from Italy’s south alongside pizzas and pastas inspired by the cuisine of the foot and the heel. Even now, with more of us accustomed to the smoky, salty pleasures of fiano di Avellino and the mineral blast of Mount Etna reds, her list is still utterly unique, and peppered with bottles that will be new even to longtime fans of southern Italian wines.
