The IMW, with 369 Masters of Wine and more than 340 students around the world, is in a unique position to access some astonishing lots.
The auction will be hosted by Bonhams auction house and led by Richard Harvey MW, Patrick McGrath MW and Fiona Morrison MW. Attendees will be invited to bid on 18 Super Lots, the proceeds contributing to the Institute’s Endowment Fund, supporting education in the wine community. The Super Lots are available for bidding now, but online bidding will close 48 hours before the dinner—attending the dinner is the best way to secure a winning bid on one of these exclusive tours, tastings, meals or rare bottles from Champagne, Porto, Napa Valley, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Australia and more.
From now until November the 21st, there will also be 106 online lots open for bidding. The online lots include more rare bottles, such as a magnum of Château Latour 2000, as well as opportunities for a private visit to Napa Valley’s Dominus, or an exclusive night at Château Pichon Baron in Pauillac, or a private dinner for six with Jancis Robinson MW OBE, Nick Lander, the restaurant critic for the Financial Times, and their son, the restaurateur Will Lander.
