Tenth Anniversary of the Top 100 Tasting


If you’re going to San Francisco…

You can meet a slew of world-renowned winemakers on Tuesday at our Top 100 event, a benefit for San Francisco Baykeeper.

Here’s a list of just some of the Top 100 winemakers attending the event, all of them pouring their top-rated wines in Wine & Spirits.

Traveling from France, Yves Cuilleron of the Rhône’s Les Vins de Vienne and Didier Depond, who runs Champagne Delamotte, will be there.

Our Portuguese contingent includes João Portugal Ramos of Quinta de Foz de Arouce and Alvaro Castro of Quinta da Pellada.

Perhaps the longest distance traveled goes to Kyle Thompson of Saint Clair in Marlborough, New Zealand. Closer to home, Willamette Valley winemakers including Dave Paige of Adelsheim and Josh Bergström of Bergström Wines will be on hand, as well as a large Washington contingent, including Bob Bertheau of Chateau Ste. Michelle and Greg Harrington of Gramercy Cellars.

In California, Jason and Molly Drew are in from Mendocino’s far coast with syrah; Joel Peterson will be pouring old-vine Sonoma zins from Ravenswood; and Bob Cabral will have some Williams Selyem pinot noir in hand. Napa Valley denizens include John Williams of Frog’s Leap, Doug Shafer of Shafer Vineyards, Jerry Seps and Colleen Seps Williams of Storybook Mountain and Rudy von Strasser of von Strasser. And you’ll have a chance to meet Bob Lindquist of Qupé and Josh Jensen of Calera, who are coming up from the Central Coast. We hope you can join us for what looks to be a great night.
