Luke Sykora Awarded the Frank Prial Fellowship

Word just out: W&S Senior Editor Luke Sykora has been awarded the Frank Prial Fellowship for the Symposium for Professional Wine Writers at Meadowood Napa Valley. The Symposium, founded by Meadowood, the Napa Valley Vintners Association and the Culinary Institute of America, will take place in February.

The Frank Prial Fellowship was created this year in honor of the legendary New York Times reporter and wine writer. Sykora, who joined W&S in 2011, has an MFA from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, and has taught writing at the universities of Iowa and San Francisco. Now based in San Francisco, he serves as the magazine’s critic for the wines of California’s Central Coast, and is an essential part of our editorial team. We are excited for Luke to participate in the 10th Annual Symposium.
