Sonoma Concert to Benefit Fire Victims

Nearly two years have gone by since the wildfires of 2017 devastated Northern California wine country; this summer, volunteer organization Rebuild Wine Country is launching a Summer Symphony Benefit Concert to raise funds for the victims.

}On August 3, Rebuild Wine Country will host a concert featuring a string quartet with members of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra at the Sonoma Country Day School in Santa Rosa. The event, which benefits Northern California Habitat for Humanity affiliates, will include a wine reception featuring Sonoma and Napa Valley wines paired with plates highlighting summer bounty from local farm partners. All funds raised from the Summer Symphony concert will go directly to reconstruction efforts.

In partnership with local Habitat for Humanity chapters and spearheaded by volunteer wine industry professionals, Rebuild has been working to build, repair and rebuild homes in Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Lake and Mendocino counties affected by the 2017 wildfires. To date, Rebuild has raised more than $1 million toward their $5 million goal.

Doors for the August 3 concert will open at 6pm for VIPs; general admission will begin at 7:30. Tickets and more information on the Summer Symphony Benefit Concert and Rebuild Wine Country are at www.rebuildwinecountry.org/events/summersymphony.
