Prost! 2017 Riesling Fellowship Recognizes the Work of Three German Wine Activists


On Tuesday, April 18th, Wines of Germany hosted the 2017 Riesling Fellowship.  The celebration honored three advocates for German wines in the US—journalist David Schildknecht and importers Rudi Wiest and Terry Theise.

The trio joined a group of 20 other Riesling Fellows including Paul Grieco of NYC’s Terrior Tribeca, who believes there is no profound answer as to ‘why riesling,’ other than the desire to “pursue those things that are yummy.”

All three honorees curated a selection of wines, which they presented at a tasting and paired with dinner hosted by Fowler & Wells. Below, their assortment of German wines:
