Transport yourself back to the 1920s at this French-inspired supper club, where you’ll find “Art, Drinks, Kitchen and Tunes” in West Hollywood. The space is warm and inviting—full of plush velvet booths, lamps with fringed shades, and walls adorned with gold-framed paintings. There’s an Asian influence to the décor as well as the menu. French-Asian fusion dishes range from a decadent Wagyu Beef Tartare to a Scallop Carpaccio served in katsuobushi vinegar (a Japanese vinegar infused with bonito flakes) and smoky espelette paprika. Try the fresh Maine Lobster served in a creamy lobster bisque navarin or the Chateaubriand—a tender seven-ounce cut of Black Opal Farms Wagyu seasoned with thyme, served with a Périgourdine jus of Madeira and black truffles.
Bar Director Nathan Oliver, previously of Harvard & Stone and No Vacancy, creates playful cocktails, like his Old Fashioned in Paris made with Rye whiskey, Cognac, Green Chartreuse and smoked sakura wood, or the Sakura, combining Japanese vodka, raspberry syrup, lemongrass and butterfly pea flower. The wine list is focused on France and California with nearly half the offerings priced under $200—though, you can splurge on a bottle of 2009 Pétrus if you choose. Food and drinks are accompanied by live music—often jazz—interspersed with French lounge music played by an in-house DJ. ADKT’s four components create a lively atmosphere that keeps you entertained and well-fed as you sip the night away.
