Sweepstakes begins on June 17, 2021. Entries must be received by Wine & Spirits Magazine on July 17, 2021 at the latest to be included in the drawing.
Eligible entries are defined as answers to the Wine & Spirits Thank Your Mentor Sommelier Poll (the “Survey”) which must be completed online here.
1. Wine & Spirits Great Sommelier Mentor Sweepstakes.
Winner will be determined by a random drawing among all received eligible entries (as defined above) of the Survey received on or before July 17, 2021. Such drawing shall take place on August 1, 2021. Wine & Spirits Magazine, Inc., a New York corporation (the “Sponsor”), will conduct the selection of winners in an independent manner and such selection is final. Winner notifications will be made on or about August 7, 2021.
The sweepstakes is open only to current sommeliers and wine directors (“Eligible Participants”) at restaurants participating in Wine & Spirits Thank Your Mentor Sommelier Poll. Eligible Participants must be U.S. residents, or residents of other countries and U.S. territories and possessions only where offered and permitted by law. Eligible Participants cannot be residents of Texas. This sweepstakes is void in Texas and where prohibited by law. This offer will not be mailed into Texas.
2. Consumer Disclosures. You have not yet won. No purchase necessary. Two prizes will be awarded. One individual prize consists of a gift certificate to Master The World up to $200 in value, and one prize consists of a gift certificate in the value of $200 to the restaurant of the recipient’s choice in his or her city. Each prize will be offered to one Eligible Participant whose name is drawn at random. The sweepstakes ends on July 17, 2021 at 11:59PM PDT. The prizes are guaranteed to be awarded.
3. Illegible, incomplete, mutilated, postage due or mechanically reproduced Survey forms or Survey forms that have been tampered with or not obtained through legitimate channels will be disqualified. Liability for an irregular Survey form or sweepstake notice will be limited to replacement with another. For the name of the winners, available after August 7, 2021, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by August 8, 2021 to: Wine & Spirits Magazine, 2 West 32nd Street, Suite 601, New York, NY 10001.
4. Miscellaneous. These Official Rules supersede all other disclosure and/or publication in any material such as the Survey form or sweepstakes announcement. In the event of a conflict, the terms of these Official Rules shall prevail.
The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage due mail/Survey form. All such Surveys will be disqualified. All Surveys become property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Eligible Participants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and release the Sponsor and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and all other businesses involved in this sweepstakes, as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each, from all claims and liability relating to their participation, acceptance and use of prize. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing of this offer, Survey entry form or administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prizes. Any sweepstakes notice or Survey form that contains a printing, typographical or other error shall be deemed null and void.
The Sponsor is not liable for payment or redemption of any prize to entrants who have violated these Official Rules. The winner will be notified within a week of selection. The winner may be required, at the Sponsor’s discretion, to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability release and, where legally permissible, a publicity release with fourteen (14) days of the date of notification. Failure to execute and return any required documentation within the time period specified above and/or return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Costs for goods and services not specified in paragraph 2 above are the winner’s sole responsibility. No substitution of prizes except by Sponsor due to unavailability.
Except where prohibited by law, the winner consents to use his or her name and the name and location of their restaurant/employer, prizes won and likeness for promotional purposes without any additional compensation. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local regulations apply. Prize values in U.S. currency. No transfer or assignment of prizes permitted. Winners are responsible for all taxes on prizes. U.S. law governs all aspects of this sweepstakes.
The selection of the winners will be executed at Wine & Spirits Magazine, 2 West 32nd Street, Suite 601, New York, NY 10001.
The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted. In such event, prizes will be awarded from eligible Survey entries received prior to this date of termination.
Employees of the Sponsor and any other person or organization directly involved with the promotion or organization of the sweepstakes and their respective families and household are ineligible participants.
