Trapeze - Wine & Spirits Magazine

Trapeze

Kim Bartmann opened this 22-seat bar last spring, a brightly muraled sliver of a space adjacent to Barbette, her always-packed brasserie. The list, overseen by local importer/consultant/wine star Jill Mott, bends toward natural wines, with selections like Delinquente Wine Co.’s Tuff Nut Pét-Nat, out of Australia, and Jean-Michel Cep’s Extra Brut, a Champagne made with no added sulfur. The menu is designed for snacking, with local delicacies such as smoked whitefish spread and Alemar’s Good Thunder, an alternative to Reblochon. Open Thursday through Saturday, 5pm to 12am.
