Crudo

Margot opened in December 2018 on a rooftop in the Platform complex, a multiuse mall of sorts near the Culver City metro stop. Michael Williams’ menu has an easy California feel, with crudo, pasta, whole fish and small plates to share. Kyley Jacoby manages the wine list that Gene Tomko authored—one of the city’s more elegant and well-priced. It’s organized in two neat columns, “classical” and “progressive,” contrasting wines like Philipponat and Franck Pascal, to take a sparkling example. “The wine list has so much great value,” says Majordomo’s Richard Hargreave, “it makes you want to go back again and again.”
