Pullman

You might not make a detour to Pullman for the food, but a quick glance at the wine list may convince you to stay for the evening. Since opening in 2004, this wine bar in downtown Montreal has become a destination for every wine geek in town. Véronique Dalle has spent the last decade honing the list, and it shows, especially in the French selections—the Loire is particularly well served, with back vintages from the likes of Guiberteau and Domaine du Collier and Clos Rougeard—and the deep array of rarities, older vintages and large-format bottles in both white as well as red. There’s a vast selection of wines served by the glass or in tasting trios, changing according to the latest arrivals. And while the menu might be limited, there are always enough well-prepared small plates available to tempt you to stay longer and order another bottle.
