Vino has balmy breezes wafting in from a torch-lit terrace, plenty of its namesake product and a staff passionate about pouring it and pairing it. With an unlikely golf-course location (don't be put off) and an enviable 150-plus selections including a Maui rosé sparkler, the restaurant features island-harvested ingredients woven with Italian accents, including homemade pastas and an ethereal seafood sausage in caper sauce. When chef/owner D. K. Kodama and Master Sommelier Chuck Furuya took over this space, instead of renovating, they put money where their palates and hearts are - in storage coolers, cruvinets and wine. Furuya sniffs out boutique producers, rotating two dozen by-the-glass choices (sauvignon blanc from Paolo Scavino, Turley Cellars Dogtown Zinfandel). And he keeps prices ridiculously reasonable.
