Starlu features "comfort food revisited," which Chef/Owner Sam Poley defines as "stuff I want to eat." That stuff can include smoky arancini with smoked mozzarella and roasted tomatoes, or pork loin made earthy and rich with an espresso marinade. To further tempt, he keeps prices under $20 for most entrees and has compiled an ample array of bottles from $19 to $49, including finds like Austrian grüner veltliner from Pfaffl and Villa Carafa's falanghina from Italy. You can splurge here, too: Just ask for the Reserve list, where Poley hides away the Biale single-vineyard zinfandels and Diamond Creek cabernet sauvignons.
