Fahrenheit
Fahrenheit keeps its neighborhood happy. Located in the hip Tremont district, Fahrenheit is where chefs come to eat on their Mondays off. Chef Rocco Whalen, former sous chef to Wolfgang Puck, knows how to toss a mean pizza pie. Thin, wheaty and impossibly crispy, it's the perfect starter for a meal of hangar steak and frites. Here, bottles of wine are found on nearly every table. Why? The restaurant's "30 Under 30" pledge guarantees you'll find 30 great whites or reds priced under $30, such as the juicy 2000 Pirramimma Petit Verdot from Australia's McLaren Vale. Not that the rest of the list is out of reach: the 2000 Bonaccorsi Chardonnay, from Spago Beverly Hills' sommelier Mike Bonaccorsi, is a fruit-filled treasure at $46.

Lolita
Lolita more than fills the void created by the relocation of Lola Bistro, Michael Symon's Tremont restaurant. A deft overhaul of the space transformed it into a sexy, Mediterranean-kissed lounge, complete with myriad small plates and a wide palette of Old World wines. With 35 wines by the glass pulled from Greece, Spain, France and Italy, the fun is in the pairings. Check out the fried smelts with Kir-Yianni Samaropetra; whisper-thin slices of prosciutto with Veglio Barolo Arborina; chorizo and mussels with Bodegas Casa de la Ermita ViognierÉ

Parallax
Parallax marks the return of Chef Zack Bruell, formerly of Cleveland's acclaimed restaurant Z. This time around he's partnered with David Schneider, co-founder of Chicago's Bin 36, to create a contemporary fish house. Here, in a sleek, spare room, with jade green banquettes and blonde wood tables, sea scallops receive a Thai curry bath; Alaskan black cod gets a miso glaze. To match, Schneider has compiled a list of affordable gems like a crisp Billaud-Simon white Burgundy for $38, and unique ones like Silver's smoky Santa Barbara Cabernet Franc for $48. Delicious and practical.
