A Straight Up Match | Tequila with Diner
For more than two decades, the restaurant world has been rocking to the tune of experimental mixology. But when it comes to cocktails, the margarita is still number one. "Yes, the margarita is the most popular cocktail in the world," says Josh Wortman, beverage director at Añejo Tequileria y Restaurante in Manhattan’s Hell Kitchen. "Many of our customers come in wanting nothing more than a simple margarita to go with their food. We are here to make them happy. Our purpose is not to use Tequila as intimidation.”

Rhyolite White
  Mountain Grown Sauvignon Blanc
It makes little financial sense to plant sauvignon blanc in the mountains above Napa Valley. Despite this, Ron and Susan Krausz of Arkenstone Vineyard planted two acres of sauvignon blanc on their Howell Mountain property in 1998. Their vineyard, at elevations around 1,500 feet, is mostly planted to red Bordeaux grapes, and their flagship red blend, Obsidian, retails for $120. Their sauvignon blanc sells for $40.
